Bewitching Book Tours — Stacey Kennedy

Stacey Kennedy is visiting my blog today. She was kind enough to answer a few questions for me.  She is also giving away an ebook copy of Whispers of Evil, The Watchers Book 2,  from Cobblestone Press to one lucky person. All you would need to do is leave a comment on my blog and I’ll pick out a winner.

I don’t know about you, but I love winning books.  So why not read the interview and leave a comment?

Oh, and the need for coffee, I’m that way too. I have a cup on the right side of my laptop right now.

Enough of me, let’s get to Stacey —

What first got you interested in writing? What has kept you doing it?

Reading is what first got my interested in writing. I read so much that my muse awakened and off I went. I love the creative process and that’s what keeps me captivated to write the next story. It’s a blast!

Do you have the support of your family and friends? Has that support always been there, or has it changed since being published?

I have huge support from my family and friends. They’re all very proud of what I’ve accomplished in the year I’ve been published. But I will say that there are some stories that my family is just not allowed to read. My erotic romances are just off limits.

What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk? Strangest habit? Is there anything you have to do before you start writing?

I need coffee! That’s it! I cannot write a word if I don’t have a coffee next to me so I can sip while I write.

What advice would you give to a new writer?

Just write. The more you do it, the better you get at it. If you don’t dive in and try, you’ll never know how far you’ll go.

What has been the biggest challenge of your career so far?

Writing style. I’m creative, can create fantastic, fun worlds, but grammar and sentence structure is by far my biggest challenge. Luckily, I’ve had some amazing editors who have guided me and taught me so much along the way.

Has a reader ever complimented you on your writing? What was the best thing you ever heard, and who told it to you?

The best compliment I’ve ever received is, “I couldn’t put the book down”. That, as an author, is so rewarding to hear. It means that all your hard work and sweat was worth it.

What are you working on now? Could you give us a little taste?

Right now, I’m working on Bite Me, I’m Yours. It’s a paranormal romance that is set to release in a month or so. Here’s a little snippet from it:

“Does the idea of staying with me really seem that awful to you?”

“It’s just that you’re a vampire?” she whispered.

He arched an eyebrow. “Might I remind you minutes ago you seemed to enjoy this vampire?”

She blushed but lifted her chin. “I had no control over myself. As you said, I didn’t know what I was doing. I mean no offense. I have no issues with vampires—“

“Which is a good thing since you are one now—”

“But I’ve always kept my distance from vampires for a reason. I don’t associate with any supernatural creatures. I like my heart beating, air breathing, food eating life, thank you very much.”

Darian stood and studied her. Was she in shock or was she really this stubborn? “You only need to look in the mirror and you’re associating with one.”

“You keep saying that, but—“

He sighed. “This is going nowhere.” He’d not spend the next hour debating with that she was a vampire. He could understand her inability to accept what happened to her. That she needed time to come around to the idea. But he wouldn’t argue it with her. He’d give her the time she needed to accept her new life. “I’m going to shower.”

Tell us about your latest book.

My latest release is Whispers of Evil – The Watchers Book Two. It’s got demons, a steamy romance, intense emotions and wild adventure!

Can the whispers of evil be hushed by love, or will it be lost forever…

Nayeli has been locked away, hidden from the world in a mental institution, all due to the whispers of evil which have corrupted her mind. Unbeknownst to her, the voices that have plagued her are a gift given to only one kind―Watchers.

Griffin, her Seeker, is about to break this cage of imprisonment woven around her and give her a new chance at life. But when a demon leaves the confines of Hell to create havoc in Louisiana, will his love for Nayeli free her wounded heart, or will she succumb to the whispers which threaten to steal her soul?

*WARNING:  Explicit sex between a timid Watcher and a gorgeous Seeker, and a ceremony that will certainly raise eyebrows!

Here’s little bit about Stacey —

Stacey Kennedy’s novels are lighthearted fantasy with heart squeezing, thigh-clenching romance, and even give a good chuckle every now and again. But within the stories you’ll find fast paced action, life threatening moments and a big bad villain that needs to be destroyed. Her urban fantasy/paranormal and erotic romance series have hit Amazon Kindle and All Romance Ebooks Bestseller lists. If she isn’t plugging away at her next novel, tending to her two little ones, she’s got her nose deep in a good book. She lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband. Be sure to drop her a line at www.staceykennedy.com, she loves to hear from her readers.
